Establish Strong Working Relations with Yukon First Nations Governments, territorial and federal governments, Whitehorse Mayor and Councillors, Yukon Communities and Community Associations
- Regular Dialogue: Establish regular meetings or forums to engage in open, transparent communication with all levels of government and community groups.
- Partnership Agreements: Develop formal agreements (e.g., Memorandums of Understanding) with Yukon First Nations and other governments to collaborate on shared priorities such as land use, infrastructure, and cultural preservation.
- Collaborative Projects: Identify and pursue joint projects that benefit multiple communities, such as housing developments, infrastructure upgrades, or social services.
Work to Create Intergovernmental Priority Plans
- Joint Planning Committees: Form intergovernmental committees to identify and prioritize shared goals, such as infrastructure projects, environmental protection, and economic development.
- Coordinated Funding Applications: Work together with Yukon First nations on joint funding applications to maximize resources for key projects.
- Policy Alignment: Align municipal policies with territorial and federal strategies to ensure consistency and enhance cooperation, particularly in areas like climate action, housing, and health services.
- Shared Services: Collaborate on shared services such as waste management, emergency response, and transit systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs across governments.
Engage in Information Sharing
